Julia Hou is a writer and software engineer based in Brooklyn. Her work appears or is forthcoming in New Letters, Fourteen Hills, West Branch, The Journal, and Brevity. She is a two-time Pushcart nominee, a Vermont Studio Center fellow, the 2026 Epiphany Fresh Voices Fellow, and has also received support for her fiction from Bread Loaf, Tin House, and The Kenyon Review.
She has previously interned at Meta, Square, and NASA, and currently works at Jane Street as a software engineer.
